A Breech in he System is a documentary about a woman who is determined to give birth to her breech baby naturally, even though hospital authorities insisted she would have to have a caesarean. This is an inspiring story about her attempt, against all odds, to give birth naturally within the system.

About the A Breech in the System

This film has been endorsed by the Australian Doula College. Karin Ecker's focus on social issues has brought her international acclaim for her film making and photographic art. From filming European children exploring environmental issues in the Bahamas to physically handicapped people scuba diving in the Egyptian Sea, she now brings her lens to the issue of childbirth choices in Australia. She intends to use this film as a tool to inspire women to realise their choices.
